Jonathan Harris

Research Associate

Jonathan Harris is a Research Associate at the Council of Canadian Academies.

Jonathan holds an B.Sc. (Hon) in Human Kinetics from St. Francis Xavier University, an M.Sc. in Gerontology from the University of Regina, and an MPP in Health Systems Research from the Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy. His graduate research focused on institutional long-term care policy and practice.

Prior to joining the CCA, Jonathan worked as a Senior Policy Analyst with the Strategy and Innovation Branch of the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health. He has also worked as a sessional lecturer at the University of Regina, and as a research assistant in on a diverse array of research projects in the fields of exercise physiology, fall and injury prevention, health policy, and health law. Jonathan has also interned with the Office of the President and CEO at the Canadian Institute for Health Information.

Jonathan’s research interests include evidence-informed policy-making, long-term care, and end-of-life care.
