Joe Rowsell
Research Associate
Joe Rowsell is a Research Associate with the Council of Canadian Academies.
Joe recently returned to the Council after spending a year at the Research & Development Corporation in his home province of Newfoundland and Labrador. In this capacity, he was responsible for designing research funding programs and guiding investment decisions via economic research. Joe holds an M.Phil. in Economics from Oxford University in addition to an MA and B.Sc. also in Economics from Queen’s University and Memorial University, respectively. His research interests include poverty, risk-sharing, and social evolution. He is active in the volunteer community and an avid basketball and tennis player.
