Joe Rowsell

Research Associate

Joe Rowsell is a Research Associate at the Council of Canadian Academies where he has worked on innovation, energy, and health assessments.

Joe previously worked as an economist at the Research and Development Corporation, a research assistant at the Centre for Experimental Social Sciences (Oxford University), and a lecturer at Oxford University and Memorial University.  Joe holds an M.Phil. in Economics from Oxford University (Rothermere Fellow) in addition to an MA and B.Sc. from Queen’s University and Memorial University, respectively. His research interests include behavioural economics, social evolution, poverty, innovation, and science policy.

Joe is a director of Writers at Woody Point, an active community volunteer, and an avid basketball and tennis player.
