Lennart Trouborst

Researcher

Lennart earned his M.Sc. in Environmental Chemistry at the University of Toronto and his B.Sc. in Chemistry from Carleton University. He has previously worked as a Laboratory Technologist for Environment and Climate Change Canada.

Lennart’s graduate research probed the light-driven degradation of an industrially used polyfluorinated chemical in freshwater to determine its net impact on the environment. His earlier research, based in analytical chemistry, involved developing and implementing analytical methods to answer real-world environmental and biochemical questions. Lennart is also interested in sustainability and in the ways in which humans can be proactive rather than reactive to environmental concerns.
