Professor, Faculty of Law and School of Public Health; Research Director, Health Law Institute; and Canada Research Chair in Health Law and Policy, University of Alberta (Edmonton, AB)

Timothy Caulfield has been a Professor at the Faculty of Law and School of Public Health, as well as the Research Director of the Health Law Institute at the University of Alberta, since 1993. Additionally, Professor Caulfield has been the Canada Research Chair in Health Law Policy since 2001.

Professor Caulfield has been involved in a variety of interdisciplinary research endeavours that have allowed him to publish over 150 articles and book chapters. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada (RSC) and a senior health scholar with the Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research. Professor Caulfield is also the principal investigator on projects funded by Genome Canada, the Stem Cell Network, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), and the Advanced Foods and Materials Network.
