Core Group of Experts on Priority Research Questions for Canadian Ocean Science

During Phase 1 of the Canadian Ocean Science Assessment a Core Group of 22 Canadian ocean experts from academia, public sector, industry and civil society, will determine the priority research questions for Canadian ocean science. The Core Group represents the entire field of ocean science including both producers and primary users of ocean science. The Core Group members were selected according to their expertise as well as their membership in networks and institutions to achieve the broadest possible representation. Using their expertise of the field, the Core Group members will determine the top priority questions for Canadian ocean science in an iterative, transparent process, based on candidate questions solicited through a survey among institutions and networks involved ocean science in Canada.
